The Tablettainer is a disposable flexible intermediate bulk container used for the transportation and storage of high-value bulk materials in the pharmaceutical industry, especially tablets and highly sensitive substances vulnerable to all kinds of contamination, i.e.active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
The construction of the Tablettainer consists of a reusable (multi-trip) stainless-steel frame and a disposable (single-trip) flexible intermediate bulk container (FIBC).
The Tablettainer is distinguished by its economic efficiency: intended for single use only, it does not require any cleaning operations and verification processes once it has been emptied. This gives it a clear advantage over packaging systems previously applied in the pharmaceutical industry, such as steel drums and stainless-steel containers.
After use, the Tablettainer is removed from the steel construction and replaced by a new one.
It takes one person less than a minute to render a Tablettainer operational.
